SHAREN’s participation in the 17th BUILD UP Skills EU Exchange Meeting underscores the central role of professional skills in the energy transition of the built environment. Presented in Brussels, it demonstrated how territorial cooperation can help bridge training gaps. Initiatives such as the SHAREN Academy and the Twinning Programme facilitate knowledge transfer and the adaptation of solutions such as energy sharing to diverse local contexts.

The session also featured the participation of Andrea Moro (IISBE Italia), who contributed his experience in Interreg projects and presented  SuPeRBE, broadening the discussion on innovative approaches to training and sustainable construction. This collaborative approach is aligned with  BUSUnited, which brings together communities of practice where different stakeholders co-create solutions around skills needs, recognition, and funding. Overall, the session highlights that the energy transition requires not only technical innovation but also robust frameworks for learning and cooperation at the European scale.
