This two‑hour hybrid workshop in Brussels brings together cutting‑edge research from the Horizon Europe projects HouseInc, PREFIGURE, EqualHouse and ReHousIn. The session examines how policy innovation, socio‑technical solutions and community practices can shape inclusive and sustainable housing strategies that support Europe’s climate ambitions while reducing social inequalities. In line with the New European Bauhaus, the discussion will highlight transformative pathways that empower vulnerable groups and ensure that the transition to climate‑neutral housing is accessible, acceptable and affordable for all.

Designed as an interactive exchange between researchers, policymakers and practitioners, the workshop invites participants to reflect on evidence‑based innovations across governance levels and to identify the conditions needed for successful implementation, transfer and scaling. Drawing on complementary insights from the four projects, the session will explore how housing, energy and climate policies intersect, and how concrete solutions—ranging from prototypes of change to regeneration approaches—can support resilient, low‑carbon and socially just housing futures. Participants may join either in person at Housing Europe or online via the virtual platform.
