Across Central and Eastern Europe, millions of households still live in energy‑inefficient buildings that drive up costs and deepen energy poverty. Over the past three years, the ComActivate project has worked with municipalities in Bulgaria, Hungary and Lithuania to test how One-Stop Shops and Neighbourhood Energy Sufficiency Roadmaps can empower residents to renovate their homes and build affordable, climate‑resilient communities. The final conference will present these findings and explore how they can inform the next generation of EU initiatives, including the Affordable Energy Action Plan and Citizens Energy Package.

Held at the BIP Meeting Centre (Salle des Guichets) in Brussels, the event will gather policymakers, local authorities, civil‑society organisations and researchers to discuss practical solutions for ending energy poverty 'one multi‑family apartment building at a time'. Through panels, case studies and interactive discussions, participants will examine how community‑based renovation models can scale across the region, ensuring that every European has access to a home that is warm in winter, cool in summer and affordable year-round.
