Registrations are now open for the FuturHist Retrofit Academy, a European training programme focused on energy-efficient refurbishment of historic buildings. The programme offers a two-stage learning experience for professionals interested in sustainable heritage renovation

The first stage consists of a free six-week online course (20 April – 31 May 2026), providing around 30 hours of flexible e-learning on innovative retrofit methodologies and tools.

The most engaged participants will then be invited to join the European Summer Academy on the Refurbishment of Historic Buildings in Kraków, Poland (7–13 September 2026), where they will work on real case-study buildings and develop refurbishment concepts together with experts and local stakeholders. The training introduces participants to the FuturHist toolkit, typological renovation approaches, and strategies that combine energy performance with heritage conservation.

Applications are open until 18 April 2026.
