Details of the conference
On 7 May 2026, Nordic Sustainable Construction will unveil its 'Inspiration Catalogue for policy measures to improve the use of existing buildings'. The publication gathers over thirty Nordic examples demonstrating how renovation, transformation, and reuse can extend building lifetimes and reduce emissions. The webinar features contributions from Helle Redder Momsen (Nordic Sustainable Construction), Miika Kotaniemi (RAKLI), Harri Hakaste (Ministry of Environment, Finland), and Nuka Pjettursson (Ministry of Housing, Greenland), among others.
Developed within the Circularity Work Package, the catalogue highlights actionable policy measures and case‑specific insights from across the Nordic region. Experts, including Robin Rushdi Al‑sálehi (Vakansa), Kirsten Mariager (ViegandMaagøe), Elín Þórólfsdóttir (Housing, Construction and Planning Authority, Iceland), and Hanna Katarina Walter (Norwegian Building Authority), will present selected cases and invite participants to engage in a live Q&A exploring how circular renovation can become the new Nordic standard.
