BUILD UP is the EU’s largest platform and the principal EU reference point for energy efficiency and renewable energy in buildings. Professionals from across the construction sector rely on us to access up-to-date knowledge and discover valuable initiatives: events, articles, tools, projects and more.
Behind this, and playing a strategic role, is the BUILD UP Board of Ambassadors. This group of renowned experts, active in institutions and organisations all over Europe, supports BUILD UP and its Editorial Board by acting as a sounding board and providing advice in their areas of expertise, bringing national and local perspectives to enrich the European debate on energy efficiency in buildings and contributing to the platform’s content, especially around the Topic of the Month.
The role of a BUILD UP Ambassador
The mission of our Ambassadors includes:
Highlighting interesting initiatives at the national level.
Providing feedback on specific matters related to energy efficiency in buildings.
Contributing to the portal content with news, publications, articles, tools, case studies, etc.
Promoting BUILD UP in their professional networks and social media channels.
They are the voice of BUILD UP at the national level, strengthening links, disseminating knowledge, and ensuring our platform remains a trusted, up-to-date resource for the sector.

BUILD UP currently counts 50 members on its Board of Ambassadors, and we are looking forward to expanding our team with new experts who can help us reach more professionals and harness Europe’s collective intelligence on energy efficiency in buildings.
We aim to have at least one Ambassador from EU Member States and Horizon Europe Associated Countries. We are especially looking for Ambassadors with an industrial profile in Slovakia and Sweden, and the Horizon Europe Associated Countries: Armenia, Faroe Islands, Georgia, Iceland, Moldova and Tunisia. Even if your country is not on this list and you are interested in becoming a BUILD UP Ambassador, get in touch with us to discuss it.
