The Building Envelope Alliance is a new European ecosystem dedicated to advancing innovation in building envelope technologies. This network brings together research organisations, universities, laboratories and industry partners to address a common challenge: accessing the expertise, facilities and support services needed to develop and validate innovative building envelope solutions in Europe.

For manufacturers, developers and designers, navigating the innovation landscape can be complex. Testing infrastructure, technical expertise, training opportunities and support services are often distributed across different organisations and countries. Building Envelope Alliance aims to simplify this process by creating a connected network that provides easier access to complementary knowledge, facilities and skills.

Education is a core pillar of the initiative. In addition to supporting innovation and testing activities, the members promote skills development through training opportunities, courses and collaboration between academia, research and industry. In this view, Building Envelope Alliance also builds on the experience and networks established through the European Façade Network, expanding its scope within a broader European ecosystem focused on innovation, testing and education.
