OneClickRENO Renovation Passport data model
The OneClickRENO ‘Renovation passport data model’ provides a standardised structure for planning deep renovations, integrating energy, financial and comfort indicators to advance towards zero-emission buildings.
The ‘Renovation Passport Data Model’, developed within the OneClickRENO project, is a key tool to drive deep building renovation across Europe. This model establishes a standardised and flexible framework that enables the description of a building’s current condition and the planning of staged improvements, aligned with the objectives of the Energy Performance of Buildings Directive (EPBD).
The approach integrates multiple dimensions: energy performance, costs, indoor environmental quality, environmental impact, and smart readiness. Each assessment applies both to the baseline scenario and to every step of the renovation roadmap, making it easier to compare progress and estimate benefits. Furthermore, the model is designed to interoperate with energy performance certificates, national databases, and digital tools, offering printable and digital formats for integration into official registries.
The proposal was validated through an EU-wide survey and pilot country testing, confirming the relevance of indicators such as comfort, economic feasibility, and adaptation to local contexts. As a result, the model not only lays the foundation for future digital renovation passports but also supports Member States in implementing mandatory schemes before 2026, contributing to the transition towards zero-emission buildings by 2050.
