The Moldovan government has launched Casa Verde, a national grant programme designed to support energy-efficient renovations in private homes. Backed by the European Union and the German government through the 'Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy for Moldova' project, the scheme offers grants of up to MDL 200,000 (≈€10.000). These funds can be used for thermal insulation, modern heating systems, and renewable energy installations such as solar panels. Applications are managed via the digital platform feerm.md, ensuring broad accessibility for homeowners.
Casa Verde forms part of Moldova’s wider strategy to reduce energy consumption, lower household bills, and align with European climate objectives. By targeting residential buildings, the programme not only addresses energy poverty but also stimulates the green economy and encourages sustainable development. The initiative reflects Moldova’s growing commitment to environmental responsibility and its strategic partnership with the EU and Germany in advancing clean energy solutions.
