Riga’s Verde offices meet sustainable building standards
Capitalica Asset Management has completed and commissioned the second building of the Verde office complex in Riga. The complex complies with BREEAM and near-zero energy performance standards, promoting energy-efficient building use.
Verde comprises two connected office buildings with a combined leasable area of 30,000 m² and is designed to meet BREEAM Excellent standards and near‑zero energy building (nZEB) criteria. These standards require careful consideration of energy performance throughout design and operation, fitting EU objectives on sustainable building use.
The buildings feature integrated green terraces and spaces and are connected by an underground car park and shared lobby. The complex has already secured long‑term leases with a majority of space occupied by local and international companies.
The completion and commissioning of the second building confirm that Verde now operates as a fully realised office complex in Riga, with sustainable energy performance and certification standards guiding its planning and use.
