DTERBIM consults the sector on digital renovation

DTERBIM has launched a consultation with the construction sector to guide the development of digital tools that facilitate more circular, efficient and interoperable renovation in Europe.

Editorial Team

The DTERBIM project has launched a survey aimed at built environment professionals to incorporate the sector’s real needs into the development of its digital toolkit. The initiative seeks to understand current practices, the main challenges in renovation and construction, the level of digital maturity, and collaboration and innovation needs throughout the building lifecycle.

The contributions will help shape an openBIM-based ecosystem aimed at supporting more circular, energy-efficient and data-driven renovation. The results will contribute to the design of practical tools, interoperable BIM workflows and recommendations for public policies.

The consultation is open to professionals in fields such as architecture, engineering, construction, building management, energy, public administrations, research, technology and finance. Available in four languages, it seeks to broaden participation so that the solutions developed respond to the conditions and priorities of the European market.
