Sinergym is a platform that combines energy simulation and reinforcement learning to optimise buildings. Based on EnergyPlus, it enables testing intelligent control strategies in virtual environments, reducing costs and accelerating the transition towards sustainable solutions.

Sinergym is a platform that combines energy simulation and reinforcement learning to optimise building performance. It aims to provide a safe and flexible environment where researchers and professionals can develop and test intelligent control strategies without the need for physical installations, reducing costs and risks. The tool uses EnergyPlus to generate dynamic scenarios that replicate the thermal and energy behaviour of buildings, taking into account factors such as Heating, ventilation, and cooling (HVAC), occupancy, and environmental conditions.

One of its main advantages is its integration with artificial intelligence libraries, enabling the training of advanced algorithms to improve energy efficiency and reduce environmental impact. In addition, its modular and open design makes customisation easy, adapting to different building types and optimisation goals. With this approach, Sinergym positions itself as a bridge between traditional simulation and intelligent management systems, driving the transition towards more sustainable and efficient solutions in the building sector.
