On 15 October 2026, FuturHist and its sister project HeriTACE continue their joint webinar series with 'Window Renovation in Historic Buildings'. The session will explore one of the key challenges in the renovation of historic buildings: how to improve the performance of existing windows while preserving their architectural and heritage value. Bringing together different perspectives and approaches, the webinar will examine both the principles behind window renovation and the practical challenges encountered when applying them to historic buildings. CALECHE will join the event as a special guest, contributing additional expertise to the discussion.

Taking place from 09:30 to 11:00 CEST, the webinar will combine theoretical insights with discussion of the practical challenges involved in renovating windows in heritage buildings. Participants in Strasbourg will also have the opportunity to continue the exchange through an in-person workshop from 11:30 to 13:00 CEST, with places limited to 20 participants. The session offers a valuable opportunity for professionals and stakeholders working at the intersection of historic building conservation and the energy transition to exchange knowledge, question established approaches, and explore practice solutions.
