This webinar marks the conclusion of the InEExS project and presents its final results, focusing on how innovative digital energy‑service models can be scaled across Europe. By applying Distributed Ledger Technology (DLT) and blockchain‑based tokenisation, the project has developed new approaches for validating energy savings, rewarding consumer behaviour, and integrating cross‑sector energy services. The session brings together policymakers, market actors, and technical experts to reflect on lessons learned from pilots in Germany, Spain, Greece, and the Nordics, and to outline the pathway towards wider market uptake in line with the recast Energy Efficiency Directive.

The event has strong relevance for the building sector, as several of the business cases directly target energy performance in homes and commercial buildings. These include performance‑based renovation contracts, improved self‑consumption in energy communities, digital tools for managing heating systems, and smart control of Heating, Ventilation and Air-Conditioning (HVAC) and EV‑charging equipment. By enhancing the accuracy, transparency, and trustworthiness of building‑level energy data, the InEExS models can support more effective renovation strategies, enable performance‑based payments, and help cities and Member States accelerate the decarbonisation of their building stock.
