This AIVC/venticool & UNSW webinar "Use of Super Cool Materials for Efficient Building Ventilation and Heat Mitigation" aims to inform designers, engineers, architects, researchers and building professional on the potential of super cool materials, their potential use for ventilation and mitigation purposes, and the future implementation path to be followed.

Worldwide, there is an increasing number of publications related to air cleaning and there is an increasing sale of gas phase air cleaning products. This puts a demand for verifying the influence of using air cleaning on indoor air quality, comfort, well-being and health. It is thus important to learn whether air cleaning can supplement ventilation with respect to improving air quality i.e. whether it can partly substitute the ventilation rates required by standards. There is also a need to evaluate the energy impact of using air cleaning as supplement to ventilation.

It is the motivation of IEA EBC Annex 80 “Resilient Cooling of Buildings” to develop, assess, and communicate active and passive solutions of resilient cooling and overheating protection. This webinar will present Case studies and policy recommendations.
