Join Tuath Housing at Montpellier during World Green Building Week 2026 to explore how large-scale residential developments can successfully combine sustainability, affordability and community wellbeing. This in-person session will showcase a mixed-use development delivering Cost Rental, Social and Affordable Homes alongside retail, community facilities and high-quality green spaces. The event will provide insight into the vision, design and delivery of a place created to support sustainable, connected and inclusive living.

The session will explore the sustainable features that underpin Montpellier, including A-rated homes, Modern Methods of Construction (MMC), a pioneering geothermal district heating pilot, Sustainable Urban Drainage Systems, green roofs, roof-mounted photovoltaic solar panels, electric vehicle charging infrastructure and secure cycle parking. Presentations from the Tuath Development Team and Dr Patrick Morrissey of Trinity College Dublin will highlight how innovative energy systems, construction approaches and placemaking strategies can contribute to resilient, low-carbon communities and support the delivery of sustainable neighbourhoods at scale.
