The Habitat 76 "Spatium" the head office in Rouen represents a nice example of cerified Passive house building. It has a very low energy and carbon footprint even though it is a very large building, and it is an example of resilience.

Due to increasing pupil numbers and structural change, the Municipality of Giebelstadt in Germany decided to add an extension building to the existing main building of the Giebelstadt Primary School. The new building provides space for the after-school programme and was built conformant with the Efficiency House Plus standard.

In the QualDeEPC project, the Energy Agency of Plovdiv (EAP) valuably contributes to developing a better understanding of opportunities for energy savings and energy generation in both residential and public buildings. 

This case study presents the renovation of a building listed for preservation. The renovation process of the historic building aims at preserving as much as possibile its building fabric and this can be seen by the exposed beams on the ground floor as well as the load-bearing beams or the partially exposed natural stone façade in the interior.

This NZEB collective residential building is the first to obtain a Passivhaus Plus certification in Spain. It has also been awarded the Energy & Temperate Climates Prize at the national level of the Green Solutions Awards 2020-21.

This single-family house is Passivhaus certified. Passive measures include, for example, external venetian blinds and deep window reveals to reduce summer overheating, while benefitting from solar gains during winter. It also features rain water harvesting and solar PVs.

This school is a new sustainable construction which is certified LEED. It is low impact to the environment as it respects the requirements for construction and demolition waste management, zero land consumption and materials used a EPD labelled.

This building has been awarded the Sustainable renovation Grand Prize of the Green Solutions Awards 2020-21. It represents indeed an example of sustainable construction after renovation.

This learning centre is a good case of sustainable and energy efficient contruction, certified passive house. The hub is a prefabricated timber module with low impact building materials, Passivhaus certified mechanical ventilation system, and it generates by itself most of the energy that it consumes.

The sports centre is an example of almost zero energy consumption and it has been awarded national and international awards. The building has been constructed in order to be well integrated and sustainable with the surrounding environment and it is LEED certified.
