SRI2MARKET facilitates smart building assessments in Europe

The SRI2MARKET project and participating Member States have developed tools and guidelines to integrate the Smart Readiness Indicator (SRI) into building regulations and support energy‑efficient building upgrades across the European Union.

Editorial Team

The SRI2MARKET initiative, co‑funded by the European Union, has been working to pave the way for the introduction of the Smart Readiness Indicator (SRI) into national regulation and markets across six Member States: Austria, Croatia, Cyprus, France, Portugal, and Spain.

The project develops digital tools, multilingual training via an e‑learning platform, and benchmarking methods for assessing building smartness, with a clear emphasis on how smart technologies link to building energy performance, occupant needs, and energy system flexibility, thereby contributing to the improvement of building energy efficiency and promoting the smart renovation of Europe’s building stock.
