Sustainable Places 2025, held in Milan from 8 to 10 October, gathered researchers, policymakers, and industry experts from across Europe to discuss how buildings and districts can accelerate the EU’s transition towards a climate-neutral future.

Over three days, participants exchanged knowledge and experiences through sessions, workshops, and networking activities focused on innovation, digitalisation, and sustainability in the built environment. Discussions covered a wide range of themes, including building renovation passports, smart readiness, zero-emission buildings, circular materials, and user-centred indoor environments.
