On 11–12 March 2026 in Bilbao, the ATELIER Final Conference will gather 30 project partners, Lighthouse Cities Amsterdam and Bilbao, and six Fellow Cities to share their journeys in developing Positive Energy Districts (PEDs). Through storytelling sessions, participants will explore the challenges, successes, and citizen‑centred approaches that shaped their transition toward energy‑positive urban areas.

Interactive breakout sessions will dive into PED fundamentals, energy communities, policy frameworks, and stakeholder collaboration. A special focus will be given to replication and scaling, including Bilbao’s district heating case. The event concludes with forward‑looking discussions on what cities need to continue the transition, followed by a guided visit to the Guggenheim Museum and a closing dinner in its iconic setting.
