Eurac Research will be taking part in the 2026 edition of REbuild in Riva del Garda (Italy) on 12 and 13 May with two projects that address innovation in the building envelope through different perspectives.

MEZeroE is approaching the end of the project and will have the final conference during the event, as depicted below:

  • Monday 12 May | 11:30 - 12:15 As part of REbuild’s main programme, Francesco Babich will take part in the session 'Decarbonisation as a driver of efficiency for social and environmental sustainability', with a presentation focusing on the role of testing, pilot schemes and living labs in reducing risks and supporting innovation in the construction sector. The presentation will outline the approach developed within the MEZeroE project.
  • Tuesday 13 May | 9:00 - 12:00 'From ideas to market-ready building solutions: benefits for housing' A conference dedicated to MEZeroE, to discuss how new solutions for the building envelope can move from the testing phase to application on real buildings, particularly in the residential sector. Using concrete examples, the session will explore how test facilities and real-world demonstration environments can support performance evaluation, risk reduction and more informed decision-making before market launch.

For both sessions, registration is required through this link.

ZERAF is leading in the workshop 'Adaptive facades for new living models: efficiency, comfort and value in real estate' which will be dedicated to the ZERAF project, aimed at real estate professionals, investors, developers, property owners and managers interested in understanding how adaptive façades, capable of actively managing thermal flows, can transform the building envelope into a dynamic system and contribute to new models of living and the creation of value in real estate assets.
