Fragmented data, limited trust in existing information, and a lack of tailored guidance for building owners and decision-makers often slow the renovation of Europe's multi-family building stock. RENOBOOST addresses these barriers by creating a common, FAIR-by-design framework that aggregates and harmonises data from Energy Performance Certificates (EPCs), Renovation Passports (RPs), Smart Readiness Indicators (SRI), Digital Building Logbooks (DBLs) and complementary local sources. Aligned with the Energy Performance of Buildings Directive (EPBD) recast and building on existing European initiatives, the project makes building data more interoperable, auditable and accessible, enabling faster and more reliable renovation decision-making.

Through pilots in Bilbao, Occitanie and Porto, RENOBOOST demonstrates how integrated data can support accurate energy diagnostics, context-aware renovation plans and digital renovation services tailored to co-owner associations, financial institutions and policymakers. It focuses on summer comfort, vulnerable households, and reducing energy poverty. Supported by stakeholder engagement, capacity building and awareness-raising activities, the project aims to increase the quality and uptake of EPCs, promote Renovation Passports and SRI, unlock financing opportunities, and accelerate renovation rates across Southern Europe, paving the way for large-scale replication and policy implementation.
