The webinar 'Enabling frameworks and financing for DHC decarbonisation' will examine how Europe can unlock the policies and financial instruments required to scale up sustainable district heating and cooling. Drawing on recommendations from the LIFE projects SupportDHC, EnableDHC, HeatMineDH and GreenHeatLife, the session will outline how regulatory clarity, targeted support and improved access to finance can accelerate the sector’s transition in line with EU climate objectives.

EU policymakers, industry representatives, financial actors and key stakeholders will come together to discuss practical measures to mobilise investment, strengthen enabling frameworks and support the uptake of project results. Participants will also explore how these recommendations can shape future regulatory and funding developments, helping Europe deploy low‑carbon district heating and cooling at scale.
