The European Commission has launched a call to establish a new working group that will promote financing solutions for social, affordable and sustainable housing.
The European Commission has launched a call for expressions of interest to select organisations that will join a new working group dedicated to developing financing solutions for social, affordable and sustainable housing.
Applications will remain open until 16 August 2026, while the group's first meeting is scheduled for early October 2026. The initiative will bring together key stakeholders to exchange expertise and explore practical financing approaches for both housing renovation projects and new construction.
Organisations with direct experience in housing finance are eligible to participate, including financial institutions, public authorities, project promoters and other relevant stakeholders, whose experts will participate on behalf of their respective institutions. The working group is being established jointly under the Pan-European Investment Platform for Affordable and Sustainable Housing and the European Energy Efficiency Financing Coalition.
