The SaveEnergyTogether online hub, developed by Climate Alliance and co-financed by the EU LIFE Programme, serves as a strategic resource for municipalities and non-governmental organisations seeking to enhance household energy efficiency. By offering a suite of practical tools and campaign materials, the platform enables local actors to implement targeted interventions that encourage behavioural change and reduce energy consumption.

Central to the hub’s functionality is its Cost-Benefit Analysis (CBA) tool, which allows users to assess the effectiveness of various energy-saving measures. This analytical feature supports informed decision-making by comparing potential interventions based on their environmental impact, financial viability, and social acceptance. It is particularly valuable for local authorities aiming to maximise the return on limited resources while achieving measurable reductions in energy use.

The initiative also promotes the formation of Campaign Implementation Groups (CIGs) across five European countries, including Austria, Germany, Portugal, Lithuania, and Slovenia. These groups tailor energy efficiency campaigns to regional needs, ensuring that messaging and methods resonate with local communities. Through this decentralised approach, the hub fosters collaboration and knowledge exchange among stakeholders, amplifying the reach and impact of energy-saving efforts.

Ultimately, SaveEnergyTogether aspires to deliver tangible results: an annual saving of 100 GWh of primary energy and a reduction of 23,200 tonnes of CO₂ emissions. By equipping local actors with the tools to drive household energy efficiency, the platform meaningfully contributes to Europe’s broader climate goals and the transition towards a more sustainable future.
