STUNNED Project
STUNNED Project
The STUNNED project will empower energy communities with advanced solutions for energy management in flexible markets. It combines an innovative, multi-domain approach with the integration of renewable energies, electric vehicles, and energy management systems (EMS).
STUNNED's energy communities will benefit from new solutions to manage energy more smartly in homes, workplaces, and industrial buildings. Today, much of the flexibility of buildings to save or shift energy use remains untapped because systems are fragmented and not well connected. STUNNED tackles this problem by bringing together renewable energy, electric vehicles, and smart energy management in one integrated approach that also supports grid stability.
With the help of artificial intelligence and data from smart meters and connected devices, the system learns how people and buildings use energy and offers tailored services such as reducing demand at peak times or shifting loads to cheaper, cleaner hours. Combining secure software and advanced hardware, STUNNED will aggregate buildings into smart energy communities to further strengthen a sustainable energy transition.
The project will be tested in real buildings in Spain, Italy, and France, to show how smarter energy use leads to better performance and lower emissions.
