RETScreen is a software platform developed by the Government of Canada to support the evaluation of clean energy projects. The tool enables users to analyse energy performance and estimate the technical and economic impact of efficiency measures in buildings, as well as in industrial and generation facilities. Its structure combines climate data, reference information and analytical modules that facilitate the planning and monitoring of energy interventions.

The platform integrates climate and energy datasets that allow users to assess building behaviour under different conditions and estimate potential savings from improvements to heating, cooling, and other systems. RETScreen also supports verifying energy performance after measures are implemented, helping manage building portfolios and enabling data‑driven decision‑making.
