The SRI2MARKET project
The SRI2MARKET project
The SRI2MARKET project supports six EU Member States in integrating the Smart Readiness Indicator (SRI) into their national regulations and markets. By drawing on experiences from countries already testing the SRI, the project develops practical tools, use cases, and guidance to help authorities understand how smart‑ready technologies can enhance building performance. It also strengthens national capabilities by assessing whether the default SRI methodology fits each country’s context and identifying where adaptations may be needed.
Through knowledge exchange, policy recommendations, and capacity‑building activities, SRI2MARKET aims to make the SRI an effective instrument for achieving national energy and climate goals. The project brings together public bodies, technical experts, and market actors to support a consistent, high‑quality rollout of the SRI across Austria, Croatia, Cyprus, France, Portugal, and Spain. Its work is expected to accelerate the uptake of smart‑ready solutions and contribute to a more efficient, flexible, and future‑proof European building stock.
