Energy Efficient Buildings Hub
Energy Efficient Buildings Hub
An online free available platform on Plus Energy Buildings and Industrialised Deep Retrofit solutions, offering clear and simple explanations, step-by-step guidelines, and illustrated case studies.
To support the transition towards zero-emission buildings, the Energy Efficient Buildings Hub highlights practical solutions, technologies, and real-world examples that demonstrate how buildings can drastically reduce their energy demand or even produce more energy than they consume.
Specifically, the platform includes two databases, offering a unique selection of case studies with detailed data:
- The Plus Energy Buildings Hub: PEB buildings integrate renewable energy systems and high-performance design strategies to generate a positive annual energy balance while maintaining comfort and indoor environmental quality.
- The Industrialised Deep Retrofit Hub: industrialised approaches combine prefabricated façade elements, integrated technologies, and digital planning to achieve energy reductions of up to 60–75% while minimising disruption for occupants.
By presenting research results, guidelines, and case studies, the platform aims to accelerate the adoption of scalable solutions to help architects, engineers, policymakers, and building owners implement a climate-neutral built environment.
The Energy Efficiency Buildings Hub is a platform of Eurac Research. The Plus Energy Buildings Hub has been developed thanks to RMIT University and powered by ACE.
The Industrialised Deep Retrofit Hub has been developed in the scope of the INFINITE project.
