EUSEW 2024 sessions - Breaking down the barriers to carbon capture and storage
Details of the conference
As part of EUSEW 2024, in this session the need for a clear business case for carbon capture and storage and a full value chain approach is discussed. With the 2040 Climate Target being set, it is important to understand not only how much carbon capture and storage should be deployed in Europe to absorb emissions, but also what are the concrete barriers to their deployment.
The session aims to use input from EU policymakers, carbon capture and storage value chain and civil society to summarise concrete practical issues and policy suggestions for how these challenges could be addressed.
