The High Level Construction Forum is organising two webinars on innovation in the construction sector, that will take place online on the 19 & 20 October 2022.
The aim for these two webinars is to identify technologies that have the potential to advance the digital and green transition of the construction ecosystem. In addition, the meetings will facilitate an exchange on challenges and needs in regard to research and innovation, the uptake of technologies and the transfer of technology from research to market.
The aim for these two webinars is to identify technologies that have the potential to advance the digital and green transition of the construction ecosystem. In addition, the meetings will facilitate an exchange on challenges and needs in regard to research and innovation, the uptake of technologies and the transfer of technology from research to market.
The two sessions on innovation in construction will focus on:
- "New ways of building": 3D printing, prefabricated modules, automation, robotics and other ways to innovate the construction process. This session will be held on 19 October between 09:30 and 12:30 CET.
- "New ways of collecting and using data for construction": Digital permits and logbooks, earth observation, drones, 3D scanning and other ways to collect data in construction. This session will be held on 20 October between 14:00 and 16:30 CET.
The two events will bring together construction companies, public authorities, the European Commission, and the wider ecosystem to discuss technologies that improve productivity, quality and resource efficiency, and provide opportunities for new business models. It will be a chance to discuss challenges and needs regarding research and innovation, the uptake of technologies and the transfer of technology from research to market.
