As the global macroeconomic landscape becomes more unpredictable due to climate change, there is a push for resilient infrastructure and sustainable, innovative construction products.

Agrément South Africa (ASA), a technical agency, plays a key role in certifying non-standardised construction products and promoting public-private sector partnerships.

During a recent forum, Deputy Minister Sihle Zikalala emphasised the importance of climate-resilient communities and innovative construction methods like modular systems to reduce costs and environmental impact.

ASA is expanding its partnerships to support SMEs, provide training, and introduce sustainable building solutions.

Regulatory frameworks must support innovation for successful implementation.
