Banca Transilvania has extended €20 million in green financing to STC Partners for the development of Quartier Ferdinand, the first residential project in Bucharest to receive pre-certification as a Zero Emission Building (ZEB).

Situated in the heart of the Romanian capital, the complex will comprise 170 residential units, ground-floor retail spaces, underground parking, and recreational areas, all powered exclusively by photovoltaic panels and heat pumps. The initiative marks a significant milestone in Romania’s real estate energy transition, integrating energy efficiency, residential comfort, and environmental responsibility from the design phase.

The project has been awarded dual pre-certification, Green Homes and ZEB, by the Romania Green Building Council, positioning it as a trailblazer in the country’s residential market.

With over 50% of the units already sold and completion scheduled for late 2026, Quartier Ferdinand stands as a replicable model for sustainable urban development.
