The final event of the Cooltorise project in Madrid on May 23, 2024, focused on urban initiatives and policies to combat heat impacts. It united policymakers, researchers, and other stakeholders to share project findings and engage with similar initiatives. 

Key speakers included Hector Tejero presenting the Health and Climate Change Observatory, Javier Tobías González discussing energy policies and EPBD, and Dr. Carmen Sánchez–Guevara sharing project insights. 

The first day ended with a visit to a climatic shelter hosting a refugee camp. The second day involved a partners’ meeting to finalise project activities.

The event featured presentations of innovative urban initiatives.
