The 2024 EPAH International Annual Conference addressed energy poverty, highlighting projects like LIFE ReHABITA and CoolToRise.

LIFE ReHABITA offers renovation assistance to low-income households across five European countries, aiming to make 500 homes energy efficient by 2027, thus reducing heating costs by 37%.

CoolToRise tackles summer heat issues by promoting energy efficient cooling alternatives, such as smart plugs and fans, and offering workshops to vulnerable groups in southern Europe. Additionally, the project promotes urban cooling through tree planting.

In Barcelona, the conference’s host, officials are also addressing energy poverty with green housing, renewables, and social services initiatives.
