EUR 123 million to make Bulgarian homes more energy efficient
As part of the National Recovery and Resilience Plan, the Ministry of Energy of Bulgaria has financed grants for households of 100% for solar thermal collectors and 70% for photovoltaic installations. The entire scheme worths EUR 123 million, of which EUR 71.5 comes from the EU´s Recovery and Resilience Facility and the remaining would be covered by households.
Beneficiaries can install solar power panels with a maximum of 10kW in peak capacity. The households will be able to only produce the energy for themselves, hence they cannot sell the extra electricity. Moreover, the programme is only for those that currently use inefficient heating devices on solid fuels.
Deadline to apply is 10 November.
