Located in Hamilton, Ontario, Montgomery Sisam Architects, in collaboration with CityHousing Hamilton, designed a three-storey modular building with 24 studio units to address homelessness.

Partnering with NRB Modular Solutions and Peel Passive House, the project uses prefab construction for efficiency and insulation

Its dark metal exterior contrasts with warm wood finishes inside, including a multipurpose room for community events.

The building is energy-efficient, maintaining temperature without active heating or cooling, reducing costs.

It features photovoltaic panels for electric heating and cooling. Certified as a Passive House Classic, it is Ontario's third and Hamilton's second multi-residential Passive House-certified building.
