The European Economic and Social Committee (EESC) will host the photo exhibition 'Powerful encounters: picturing an end to energy poverty', from December 4-16, 2024, in Brussels. 

The exhibition, organised in collaboration with Friends of the Earth Europe, features the photography of Miriam Strong, highlighting the struggles of those living in energy poverty across five European countries. 

With 50 million Europeans affected, the exhibition aims to raise awareness about the need for affordable, clean energy and decent housing. It supports the EESC's goals of eradicating poverty, promoting sustainable energy, and advancing the EU's anti-poverty strategies.
