A Finnish and a French cities are leading the path towards climate-neutrality

The Finnish city Turku and the French city Dijon are leading the path towards becoming a climate-neutral city before 2030. The two cities, that are part of Cities Mission, are testing a veriety of options to become climate-neutral. Among them, for example, is the main goal to create "positive energy districts".

 

Concerning Turku, the main target is the large student population, whereas the focal point of Dijion is low-income households with a mix of nationalities. The EU-funded project RESPONSE is supporting these cities and others in their parth towards clean energy and decarbonisation.
