Future perspectives in the UK heat pump market

The major UK gas boiler market is expecting to build 60,000 heat pumps and train 5,000 installers a year.

One of Britain´s biggest boiler manufacturer is planning to invest £50m in producing electric heat pumps, thus transforming the Hull headquarters which has been producing fossil fuel boilers until now. Apart from this enormous production, the company also aims to train installers.

The company recognises the big transformation of the heating system by transitioning into low-carbon technologies, such as heat pumps. The UK government has also set a target of 600,000 heat pumps to be installed every year by 2028, requiring a big push in up-skilling and training of workforce.
