The EU Building Stock Observatory was established in 2016 and it is a free web tool that monitors the energy performance and decarbonisation of buildings in all EU countries. Hence, the tool is tailored to offer a data overview for the European market.

The BSO has recently undergone an improvement process and the tool now includes more reliable data for basic building stock indicators, higher quality data visualisation and a more user-friendly interface.
