The launch of a large-scale skills partnership for renewable energy industrial ecosystem
Overall, around 1.3 million persons were employed in the EU renewable energy sector in 2020 and the number is expected to increase. Specifically, in terms of renewable energy sector jobs, the targets would require the creation of over 3.5 million jobs by 2030.
Renewable energy trade associations and representatives of installers of clean technologies aim to empower workers´ skills to manage renewable energy technologies to reach climate goals and climate neutrality by 2050. Hence, they have set up a large-scale skills partnership which will enable, among others, job creation, proposing new policy recommendations for skills, involving relevant authorities and institutions.
