Making energy efficiency smart: the digiBUILD artificial intelligence initiative

11 March 2025
The DigiBUILD project uses artificial intelligence (AI)-driven data services to improve energy efficiency in buildings, reduce emissions, and support the EU's goal of carbon neutrality by 2050.
Luca Papapietro

The DigiBUILD project aims to revolutionise energy efficiency in buildings using AI-based data services, contributing to the EU's goal of carbon neutrality by 2050. The building sector accounts for a significant portion of energy consumption and emissions, making decarbonisation crucial.

DigiBUILD addresses challenges such as data silos and lack of interoperability, offering solutions like predictive analytics, automated monitoring, fault detection, and optimised renewable energy integration.

These AI-driven services can reduce energy consumption by up to 30%, save costs, and accelerate smart building adoption.

DigiBUILD's comprehensive approach supports the transition to energy-efficient, carbon-neutral buildings.
