The NEB Facility is an EU funding tool aimed at revitalising neighbourhoods through sustainable design, supporting research and deployment projects with significant funding, guided by consultations open until 17 September 2024.

The NEB Facility is an EU funding tool designed to revitalise neighbourhoods through sustainable and inclusive design.
It has two components: Research & Innovation (R&I), funded by Horizon Europe with about €120 million annually from 2025 to 2027, which supports basic research, testing, and demonstration projects; and the roll-out component, which leverages other EU programs to deploy solutions, aiming for a similar budget.
Consultations are being held to gather input on development needs and transformative ideas, guiding the European Commission in developing the implementation roadmap for 2025-2027.
