As part of the European D2Grids project, which is part of the Interreg North West Europe program, the first advanced thermal demand management demonstrator has been deployed on the EPA Paris-Saclay 5th generation heating and cooling grid, one of the project's five pilot sites.
The objective of this demonstrator is to provide thermal flexibility to the grid with a goal to further reducing energy consumption and CO2 emissions.
What does this demonstrator consist in?
This first experiment aims to equip a certain number of student housing units on the Paris Saclay urban campus with wirelessly connected thermostatic valves in the Moulon district.
