Pact for Skills: First 2025 meeting

The coordinators of the Pact for Skills in Construction, European Builders Confederation (EBC), European Construction Industry Federation (FIEC), and European Federation of Building and Woodworkers (EFBWW), jointly gathered the current signatories of the Pact for Skills (PfS) in Construction online for their first 2025 meeting.

The meeting provided updates on the Construction Large-Scale Partnership’s objectives and highlighted the role of the Pact for Skills Support Services. Participants received briefings on benefits such as European funding, essential resources, networking opportunities, and regional alliances. Fundación Laboral de la Construcción then introduced the Construction Blueprint 2 project, a four-year Erasmus+ initiative addressing the evolving skills requirements in construction.

Concluding the session, participants engaged in a valuable exchange of good practices. Signatories presented diverse initiatives: Sustainable Energy Finance Association (SEFA) demonstrated innovative energy transition finance, Associazione Nazionale Costruttori Edili (ANCE) showcased successful outcomes from the Pact for Youth, and International Safety and Health Construction Coordinators Organization (ISHCCO) outlined its new Qualification Framework for Safety and Health Construction Coordinators. The meeting concluded with a final announcement of the next signatories’ meeting scheduled for autumn 2025.
