PEDvolution’s promising beginning: Completion of the analysis phase and first key outputs
The project is co-funded by the European Union’s Horizon Europe research and innovation programme under grant agreement Nº 101138472 (PEDvolution) and from the Swiss State Secretariat for Education, Research and Innovation (SERI).
PEDvolution, an innovative Horizon Europe project focused at advancing Positive Energy Districts (PEDs), has successfully completed its first year of implementation with notable progress and key deliverables.
The project has laid a strong foundation for its next milestone: the co-development of PEDvolution’s seven interoperable solutions. This phase will build on the following essential concepts:
- Analysis: PEDvolution has consolidated user and problem definitions by in-depthly analysing the contexts of the three already defined PED co-developers.
- Involve: The project ensures stakeholder engagement, facilitating the tailoring of solutions to meet local needs.
- Concept-design: The project has started ideating broad, user-centric concept designs that go beyond conventional solutions and focus on innovative approaches to address the identified challenges.
Furthermore, PEDvolution has made several important public deliverables available, including:
- Data Exchange Platform Design
- Local Community Analysis and Initial Engagement Plan
- Functional and Operational Requirements of the Demo Sites and Reference Use Cases
These outputs provide crucial insights and set the stage for the development of interoperable solutions for Positive Energy Districts.
