The skilled workforce bottleneck

Employers in the US are having a difficult time finding skilled workers in the field of energy efficiency and electrification.

The US workforce grew overall by 2.8% between 2020 and 2021, whereas clean energy jobs grew by 4% in the same period. Employers are finding difficult to find skilled workforce in energy efficiency and electrification and this issue would be worsened by the fact that around 500,000 energy industry workers are going to retire within 5-10 years.

Currently only a few States are implementing educational programmes for reach the growing demand of skilled workforce.
