Successful implementation of “ReBUSk” Stakeholder Workshop
Successful implementation of “ReBUSk” Stakeholder Workshop
The revised Energy Performance of the Building Directive (EPBD) introduces Zero Emission Buildings as scale of the future buildings 2050. In order to achieve this goal, the needs of the entire value chain in the construction industry has to be taken into account and building experts have to be armed with new knowledge, skills and competences.
The ReBUSk project (Reboot BUILD UP Skills Austria) revives the objective of the previous national Build UP Skills initiatives (2011 to 2016). The focus is on the revision of the national roadmap until 2020 and adapting it to the actual European and national sustainability targets.
On the 29th of March, the first step was successfully done by the revival of the national qualification platform. Members of educational institutions, chambers and guilds, policy makers, project developers and housing associations came together to discuss future scenarios and address needed qualifications in the construction sector in Austria.
