|Survey| How do you imagine profitable Energy Efficiency Aggregator business models??
The main goal of the H2020 SENSEI project is to design and test innovative transaction models that enable energy efficiency upgrades in buildings through the following:
- Incentive schemes that steer energy efficiency interventions towards measures that are beneficial for both the building owners and the power grid;
- Capacity mechanisms that compensate energy efficiency to permanently reduce power consumption, thus affecting positively peak capacity requirements and ramping reserves
- Removing the risk of paying for unrealised savings under energy efficiency financing programmes.
SENSEI will build on innovative pay-for-performance (P4P) schemes, according to which, payments for energy efficiency are based on proven and measured savings (using pre-agreed measurement and verification methods).
As a building user/owner or relevant stakeholder (energy community, energy service provider, energy company, energy utility, distributor/ transmission system operator, public authority or policymaker), you may participate in this study to provide feedback on preselected questions regarding the business model of the Energy Efficiency Aggregator.
An Energy Efficiency Aggregator can have different functions and roles including attracting customers, aggregating a sufficient number of buildings together into an energy savings portfolio, monitoring and evaluating the criteria for joining and selecting the projects, looking for investors and defining the EE programme. To further clarify the concept of EEA, its role and responsibilities we developed this questionnaire.
The questionnaire aims to provide a better understanding of the following questions:
- What kind of services are expected from the Energy Efficiency Aggregator business model?
- What are the expected benefits when using the Energy Efficiency Aggregator business model?
- What are the possible barriers and risks hindering the implementation of the Energy Efficiency Aggregator business model?
The collected answers will provide a useful reference regarding the parameters that affect the development of the business model.
It will take 4-6 minutes and your answers are much appreciated! Access the survey here.
